Gastvortrag Andriy Danylenko (New York) am 09.06.2016

Am Donnerstag, dem 9. Juni 2016, um 18:00 Uhr spricht Professor Dr. Andriy  Danylenko von der Pace University (New York City), derzeit Fulbright-Scholar an der Fakultät »Artes Liberales« der Universität Warschau, über das Thema:

Contact-induced grammaticalization in Slavic:
Evidence from low-contact languages

Der Vortrag findet in Hörsaal VII b im Hauptgebäude statt.

Alle Interessierten sind herzlich eingeladen.

Abstract: The paper is devoted to the theory of contact-induced grammaticalization and its applicability to Slavic. Based on the postulates of the sociolinguistic typology of Peter Trudgill and Gennady Mel'nikov, the author critically assesses some cases of contact-induced changes in the so-called high-contact Slavic languages. Making use of extensive dialectal material, a new interpretation of the formation of the comitative-instrumental and the instrumental-comitative polysemy in low-contact Slavic languages are offered.
